TICE Inaugural Forum on Climate Change and Environmental Technology

Hi, folks. This is not really on water quality monitoring but it is most certainly relevant to environmental conservation/protection.

Water Quality Monitoring in Sungei Mandai Besar (18 Jun 08)


S. Mandai B. starts off as a canal.



Lots of drains flowing into SMB. This appears to be the outlet from the nearby wastewater treatment plant.



SMB is surrounded by mangrove further downstream. Tide has yet to come in.



SMB is not a particular clean stream with various industries situated in its drainage basin.

Water Quality Monitoring in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (10 Jun 08)

Even though it was around noon (11a.m.-1p.m.), the weather was perfect for a quick survey of several streams on Bukit Timah Hill.
